The dream of the women’s ministry of Our Lady of Fatima is to meet the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of women within our community. Together we will grow in the faith of Jesus Christ by developing and strengthening relationships with each other and by providing opportunities to connect, to serve and to inspire our community to keep looking ahead.

We welcome you to join us. We meet every second Monday of the month from 7 pm to 8:30 pm (meeting days may be subject to change). Check back for announcements on the parish homepage for our next meeting. For more information, you can reach us at [email protected].

The Team,

Alda Silvestre,  Aline Kawagouth, Leonor Pacheco, Marcia Goncalves and  Sonia Rafael

MISSION

Our mission is to connect women of all ages with their faith; to collectively grow in our faith in Jesus Christ and to be inspired by:

1. Developing and strengthening relationships with each other, and

2. Providing opportunities to connect, to worship, to serve and to motivate our faith community to keep looking ahead.

VISION

To meet the current and future spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of all aged women within our Catholic faith community.

VALUES

Spiritually - we collectively worship and find ways to practice, nurture and grow in our faith. Praying together is very important to us. Our collective faith is our reason for being!

Service - we share our skills, gifts, and talents in formal and informal ways within our community’s needs. We are here to help!

Connection - we collectively share in and about our faith and each other. We love being together and creating community!

Learning - we want to stretch and grow as individuals and as a faith group. Hearing about each other’s experiences and wisdom is invaluable to us. Learning keeps us fresh and relevant!

Dignity of others - especially our seniors, youth, and those most in need. We want to express and share our love through acts of charity and service. We are God’s hands in our community. We own our power to love!

OBJECTIVES

1. Create groups within our ministry that support sharing of our interests, gifts, and talents that in turn, are supportive of our parish community.

  • Letter Group
  • Craft Group

2. Nurture and share our faith consistently by opening each group session in prayer. We will explore, share, and participate in the many varied forms of prayer that exist.

3. Share charity. We will fundraise annually to support our group’s chosen charity which is the Ecole Saint Barthelemy - School in Haiti. We will also support other charities ad hoc.

4. Facilitate formal and informal opportunities to get to know each other better by ensuring that at each session there is a time set aside for large or small group discussion based upon the topics being presented.

5. Participate in the varied existing opportunities for service within our community, and support, create or lead new activities as they present themselves, especially in relationship to our youth and elderly.
