Welcome Back, Fr. Adilso
We joyfully welcome the return of Fr. Adilso Luiz Balen, CS to Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Parish. Many parishioners will remember his earlier years of dedicated service among us—first as Assistant Pastor from 1991–1994, and then as Pastor from 1994–1997. During those early 90s, he and the late Fr. Antonio Deangelis, CS led our community through milestone moments, including the parish’s major visual transformation with significant improvements, alterations, and additions, as well as the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Parish in 1994.
Since his time here, Fr. Adilso has continued a rich and faithful journey, serving in numerous parishes, assisting formation teams and being appointed the role of Provincial Superior of the Scalabrinian Fathers. Most recently, he served as Executive Director for the Scalabrinian retired priests at Villa Scalabrini Retirement Centre in Sun Valley, California. Now, with gratitude and joy, we welcome him back as he embraces a new mission of faith in the very parish he once shepherded with devotion.
We pray that God may guide Fr. Adilso and bless him abundantly as he begins this renewed chapter of ministry among our parish community. Bem vindo de volta, Father—your presence is a blessing to us all.
