A Christmas Message from Fr. Pierre Vertus


My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, 

Today our Saviour that we have longed for is born. It is the day that the Lord made for all of us without distinction. Therefore, let us rejoice and exult in him! (Psalm 117). There is no place for sorrow on the day life is born, a day that dispels the fear of death and fills us with joy with the promise of eternity.
 
With these words of the Psalmist, I would like to take this opportunity to greet you cordially and address a few words to you in these festive times.
 
As you know, documentation issues prevent me from being physically with you in the community, but we are always spiritually connected.
 
As Christmas and New Year are coming, I would like to take advantage of these opportune moments to remind you that you are very valuable to our ecclesial community. We remember that there is no Church without parishioners, nor can we move forward without their tireless support and service. So thank you for being part of our ecclesial community and thank you also for your generosity and collaboration.
 
May this Christmas bring you much spiritual and bodily health, prosperity, joy and inner peace. May all your wishes come true together with your families in this coming year.
 
May the Birth of the Child Jesus bring you many blessings and protections and may the joy of these feasts accompany you, now and forever.

Uma mensagem de Natal de Pe. Pierre Vertus


Meus queridos irmãos e irmãs em Cristo, 

Hoje nasceu o nosso Salvador que tanto esperávamos. É o dia que o Senhor fez para todos nós sem distinção. Portanto, alegremo-nos e nele exultemos! (Salmo 117). Não há lugar para tristezas no dia em que nasce a vida, um dia que dissipa o medo da morte e nos enche de alegria com a promessa da eternidade.

Com estas palavras do Salmista, desejo aproveitar este momento para vos saudar cordialmente e dirigir-vos algumas palavras nestes tempos festivos.

Como você sabe, problemas de documentação me impedem de estar fisicamente com você na comunidade, mas estamos sempre conectados espiritualmente.

Já que o Natal e o Ano Novo estão por vir, aproveito estes momentos oportunos para vos recordar que sois muito valiosos para a nossa comunidade eclesial. Recordamos que não há Igreja sem paroquianos, nem podemos avançar sem o seu apoio e serviço incansável. Por isso, obrigado por fazer parte da nossa comunidade eclesial e obrigado também pela vossa generosidade e colaboração.

Que este Natal lhes traga muita saúde espiritual e corporal, prosperidade, alegria e paz interior. Que todos os seus desejos se tornem realidade junto com suas famílias neste Ano que se aproxima.

Que o Nascimento do Menino Jesus lhe traga muitas bênçãos e proteções e que a alegria destas festas vos acompanhe, agora e para sempre.
